Fabric Conversions is a family owned and operated company. We’ve been manufacturing soft furnishings for over 35 years! We have a large manufacturing facility located in Clayton which has the capacity to complete large scale projects and meet deadlines. We manufacture curtains, roman blinds, roller blinds, pelmets, swags and tails, just to name a few!

Our commitment and dedication to our clients, as well as our highest standard of product has enabled us to become one of the leaders in our industry.

Peter Saker
Founder

Peter has over 40 years experience in the soft furnishings industry and is the owner and director of the company. Peter oversees all of our manufacturing and is hands on on our factory floor, ensuring our quality is always up to scratch. There is not a fabric Peter has not worked with, a style of curtain he has not made, Peter is a wonderful source of information regarding anything to do with soft furnishings.

Kara Saker
Director

Kara is the daughter of Peter and has grown up in the family business, from doing tasks on the factory floor to starting as reception in the office, she has worked her way up to running the business with her father. Kara has been full time in the company for over 10 years and by working side-by-side with her father she has been able to learn a lot in this time. Kara is in charge of the day-to-day running of the business and is the contact for all quoting and manufacturing queries.

James Wheeler
Head Installer

James is Kara's husband, he is a fully qualified carpenter and has been a curtain installer for over 6 years. James' attention to detail and care he takes is what makes his workmanship stand out. James is in charge of all our check measuring and installations ensuring the best fit for each and every job.

1. What is your lead time?

Lead time for manufacturing only orders is 2 - 4 weeks. Lead time for orders with site measure and installation is 4 - 6 weeks.

2. Do you work outside of Melbourne?

Yes, we do work all over Victoria as well as interstate work, providing delivery and/or installation too.
